The Creeping Cold of Night

Donald P. Goodman III

Version 1.0,
So many months has life been down beneath the ground to store itself, awaiting warmer, lighter times which by that life itself can never e'er be found though desperate for relief from frozen dark it pines, and creeping crystals crawl the soil to claw at roots which fled the world above for safety from the cold; but with noplace to flee, to bear its life and fruits, the end of all at long last finally taking hold; and then, at last, the sun arises; now's the turn for dark and ice to flee, life growing manyfold; seek not for where the shadow can the sun still spurn; pursue the sun! for light and warmth e'er long and yearn!
