The Cave

Donald P. Goodman III

Version 1.0,
In darkness do we live; eternal night engulfs us, hiding from us shape and form; and though we're never rock'd by wind or storm, the atmosphere perpetuates the blight which keeps us from the clarifying light; what little we do see must misinform, for shadows all true shapes must e'er deform; reality is e'er beyond our sight. But only just outside this gloomy cave, one finds the shining glory of the sun, which to the wise old ancients knowledge gave and slaves from ignorance to freedom won. But ere we can turn 'round, we first must see that shadows ne'er the true, real shapes can be.
