Christmas, 1203

Donald P. Goodman III

Version 1.0,
Almighty power, helpless; like the sun made cold, emitting cold and dark instead of warming light; a lion, now the prey of all its prey of old, and fleeing from the beasts it once made haste to fight; a hawk screeching in terror at the lowly mouse, once helpless but now mighty, putting bird to flight; the kings of ancient days abandoning their house, surrendering to servants all their ancient right. Yet all these mighty powers are as nothing; no, each one's a worm when set beside what made them all; all nature cries, proclaims his might and power; lo! almighty strength to helplessness doth will to fall!
