Dozenal Tools
Having the power of dozenal at our fingertips is great; but we also need the proper tools to take advantage of it. Converters, calculators, measuring devices, forms, papers, tables, and everything else that we take for granted in the decimal base. Fortunately, these exist; and this page provides a listing of some of the most basic.
- Fonts
- dozenal: Fonts designed for use with the excellent TeX and LaTeX typesetting system, originating in the work of Donald E. Knuth. Match well with Knuth's Computer Modern fonts; match tolerably well with a few other serif fonts. Comes with a package for easy use in LaTeX documents.
- Practice Tools
- Multiplication Drills: Practice your dozenal multiplication with this simple drilling program. Fast and easy to use.
- Utilities
- TGM Clock: A simple clock page; displays running digital clocks in both TGM (long form and short form) as well as in our current decimal/sexagesimal form (HH:MM:SS and HH:MM). Also displays a running analog clock with a Tim hand, a bictic (biquaTim) hand, and an hour (quadquaTim) hand.
- Dozenal Periodic Table: A complete, Mendeleev periodic table, available in png and pdf. Developed from a decimal periodic table written in LaTeX (specifically, tikZ) by Ivan Griffin, and generously released under the LPPL. Complete with atomic weights and the other normal information contained on the periodic table.
- Calculators
- dozenal suite: The dozenal suite of dozenal utilities. Includes robust dozenal-to-decimal and decimal-to-dozenal converters; a feature-rich RPN dozenal calculator; a TGM-to-metric-to-imperial/customary converter; and a dozenal date utility. Complete documentation available with the package and online.
- ZCalculator.exe: A dozenal calculator. Graphical, rather than command-line RPN. An excellent utility. Designed for Windows, but also runs well on free operating systems in wine.
- Measurement Converters
- dozenal suite: The dozenal suite of dozenal utilities. Includes robust dozenal-to-decimal and decimal-to-dozenal converters; a feature-rich RPN dozenal calculator; a TGM-to-metric-to-imperial/customary converter; and a dozenal date utility. Complete documentation available with the package and online.
- A Converter: Takashi Suga's excellent converter, which deals not only with SI metric, customary-imperial, and TGM, but also Suga's own unit system. Accepts input in dozenal or decimal. Requires no downloads.
