Philosophy and Politics

- "Artifical Life": No Problem for Thomists: We often hear that, when science creates "artificial" life, religion will have a real existential problem. This article shows that no, there will be no such problem.
- Religion and Science: No Big Deal: I frequently encounter pundits proclaiming the "conflict" or the "convergence" or the "something or other" of religion and science. - On Masculinity: We rightly hear a great deal about how good it is to be a woman; but we rarely hear anything on the importance of manhood, at least from those from whom we want to hear. Here's a few thoughts on masculinity from a traditional perspective.
- Immigration: What Should be Done?: I effortlessly solve the incredibly simple problem of illegal immigration in the United States. (Yes, I'm being sarcastic, on both counts.)
- Distributism and the Draft: A few thoughts about Catholic social teaching and how it relates to conscription.
